Studio
Ballarín Mendoza is an architecture and interior design studio founded in Madrid by Almudena Ballarín and Ramón Mendoza. We design homes, offices, restaurants, public facilities and furniture.
What we do
We are a flexible and versatile studio, united by a passion for creative, human architecture. We enjoy exploring new techniques and ways of working, and approaching every project with curiosity and an open mind. We aim to exceed the expectations of those who place their trust in us, translating their personality into spaces of their own, without imposing a preconceived style.
We see sustainability as a concrete commitment, grounded in technical and construction knowledge, the conscious choice of noble materials and rigour in every decision. We believe in an architecture that does not impose a preconceived style, where order coexists with colour, joy and a touch of irreverence.
Almudena Ballarín
Architect · Co-founder
Co-founded Ballarín Mendoza in 2022. Architect with First-Class Honours from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (2017). She has worked at Rafael de la Hoz Arquitectos, Junglim Architects (South Korea), with Yatin Pandya (India) and for five years at Amanda Levete Architects (London). Her final degree project was a finalist in the Mies van der Rohe Foundation's Young Talent Architecture Award.
Ramón Mendoza
Architect · Co-founder
Co-founded Ballarín Mendoza in 2022. Architect from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (2012) and MSc in Environmental Design and Engineering from The Bartlett, University College London (2018). He has worked at Estudio Lamela, Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, AHMM and Studio Egret West, and was a visiting tutor at the Architectural Association for two years.
